On this page
When you generate visuals in Canvora, you choose a visual style. We offer 8 distinct styles, each creating a different look and feel: Modern, Minimal, Bold, Elegant, Playful, Corporate, Creative, and Dark.
Here's what each style actually means and when to use it.
Modern ✨
What it looks like: Clean lines, contemporary color palettes, balanced layouts. Modern style uses current design trends without being trendy—it feels fresh but not fleeting. Expect subtle gradients, refined typography, and purposeful use of space.
Characteristics:
- Contemporary color combinations
- Clean, sans-serif typography
- Balanced asymmetry
- Subtle shadows and depth
- Professional but approachable
Best for:
- Tech companies and SaaS products
- Professional services
- Startups and modern businesses
- General-purpose content that needs to feel current
- When you want "polished but not stuffy"
Use Modern when: You want something that looks professional and current, without a strong stylistic statement. It's the safe choice that works in most contexts.
Minimal ◻️
What it looks like: Stripped back to essentials. Lots of white space, simple typography, minimal decoration. The content speaks for itself without visual noise competing for attention.
Characteristics:
- Generous white space
- Limited color palette (often monochromatic)
- Simple, clean typography
- No unnecessary elements
- Focus on content over decoration
Best for:
- Premium and luxury brands
- Design-focused companies
- Content where clarity is crucial
- When the message is strong enough to stand alone
- Sophisticated B2B communications
Use Minimal when: You want the content to be the hero. Works best when your message is clear and confident—the simplicity amplifies it rather than making it feel empty.
Bold 🔥
What it looks like: High contrast, strong colors, attention-grabbing layouts. Bold style isn't subtle—it's designed to stop people in their tracks. Expect saturated colors, thick typography, and dynamic compositions.
Characteristics:
- High contrast color combinations
- Strong, heavy typography
- Saturated, vibrant colors
- Dynamic layouts and angles
- Visual impact over subtlety
Best for:
- Consumer brands
- Event promotions
- Social media content that needs to stand out
- Announcements and launches
- Younger audiences
- Entertainment and media
Use Bold when: You're competing for attention in a crowded feed. Social media, promotions, and anything where you need to stop the scroll.

Dark 🌙
What it looks like: Dark backgrounds with neon or vibrant accents. Dark style is modern, dramatic, and eye-catching—especially effective on screens. It feels premium, tech-forward, and sophisticated.
Characteristics:

Style + Brand Kit
When you have a brand kit set up, the visual style works alongside your brand colors, fonts, and logo. Think of it like this:
- Brand kit = Your specific colors, fonts, and logo
- Visual style = How those elements are arranged and emphasized
A bold style with your brand colors will feel very different from an elegant style with the same colors. The style affects layout, spacing, contrast, and overall composition—not the brand elements themselves.
Experimenting with Styles
Not sure which style is right? Generate the same content with different styles and compare. It only takes a few extra credits to see options, and you might be surprised which one resonates.
Some content works better with unexpected style choices:
- A serious topic with Bold style can make it more accessible
- A casual topic with Elegant style can elevate its perceived value
- A complex topic with Minimal style can make it clearer
When to Skip Style Selection
If you choose "AI Generated" instead of a specific brand, Canvora will also choose an appropriate style based on your content. This works well when:
- You're exploring and don't have a strong preference
- The content itself suggests a natural style
- You want to see what Canvora recommends
You can always regenerate with a different style if the first choice doesn't feel right.
Ready to try different styles? Head to Create and experiment with how the same content looks across all 8 styles. In Chat Mode, just ask for a specific style—"make it bold," "use a dark theme," or "give it a playful feel."
