Getting Started with Workspaces

Set up a shared workspace so your team can create visuals together

5 min read Beginner

If you're working with a team—whether it's a marketing department, a small agency, or just a couple of freelancers collaborating—workspaces let everyone create visuals from a shared credit pool, use the same brand kits, and see each other's work.

Here's the quick version: a workspace is a shared environment that sits alongside your own workspace. You can switch between them anytime.

What's a Workspace?

Think of it like this: your own workspace is your desk. A team workspace is a shared office.

In your own workspace, everything is yours—your credits, your brands, your visuals. In a team workspace, the team shares a credit pool, brand kits can be shared, and everyone's visuals are visible to the group.

Key things to know:

  • Your account credits and workspace credits are completely separate
  • You can be in multiple workspaces
  • Visuals created in a workspace belong to the workspace
  • Your own visuals stay in your workspace—nothing crosses over automatically

Creating a Workspace

Head to the workspace section in your sidebar. Click Create Workspace and give it a name—your company name, project name, client name, whatever makes sense.

That's it. You're the owner now.

The Context Banner

When you're creating visuals, you'll see a small banner at the top telling you where you're working:

  • "Creating in: workspace name" — You're in a team workspace. Credits come from the workspace pool, and your visuals will be visible to the team.
  • "Creating in: Your Name's Workspace" — You're in your own workspace. Your own credits, your own visuals.

This is important because it determines where credits are deducted from and who can see what you create.

Switching Between Spaces

Use the workspace switcher in your sidebar to jump between your own workspace and any team workspaces you belong to. It's instant—just click and you're there.

When you switch:

  • The dashboard shows that workspace's stats
  • The visuals page shows that workspace's generations
  • Brand kits show shared workspace brands
  • Credits reflect the workspace pool (or your account balance)

What Happens to Your Stuff?

Nothing changes. Your own workspace stays exactly as it was. Your visuals, your credits, your brands—all untouched.

Team workspaces are additive. They give you a shared space on top of your own.
