LinkedIn banner size (2026)
For a personal profile, use 1584 × 396 pixels (4:1), JPG or PNG under 8 MB. For a company page, LinkedIn now asks for 1512 × 256 pixels, PNG or JPG under 3 MB; the older 1128 × 191 size no longer appears on LinkedIn's help page. On both, keep text away from the bottom left, where the profile photo or logo sits on top of the banner.

Two banners, two shapes
LinkedIn uses two quite different banner shapes. A personal profile background is 4:1. A company page cover is much thinner, at 1512 × 256. Design one for each rather than reusing the same file: a 4:1 image squeezed into the company slot loses most of its height.
Mind the photo overlap
On both, LinkedIn places a round photo or square logo over the lower-left part of the banner, and the exact position shifts between desktop and phone. Put your message, a short line of text or a tagline, in the centre or the right half, and keep the lower left for background.
