Getting Started

How long does generation take?

Typically 30-60 seconds. Complex visuals with multiple slides (like carousels) may take slightly longer. You'll see a progress indicator while your visuals are being created.

Do I need design experience?

No. Just describe what you want in plain language, and AI handles the design. You can say things like "make it more professional" or "use warmer colors" to refine results—no design terminology needed.

How does Chat Mode work?

Chat Mode is conversational—describe what you want and AI guides you through format and style choices. You can also upload documents or paste URLs. The AI analyzes your content, suggests the best formats, and generates professional visuals. See Chat Mode Features for details.

Content & Uploads

What file formats can I upload?

  • Documents: PDF, Word (.doc, .docx), PowerPoint (.ppt, .pptx)
  • Text: Plain text files (.txt)

Is there a file size limit?

Yes, uploads are limited to 25MB per file. For larger files, try splitting them or extracting the most relevant sections.

Can I use content from a website?

Yes. Just paste the URL and Canvora will extract the main content automatically. This works with blog posts, articles, landing pages—any public webpage. The page must be publicly accessible (no login required).

What if my URL doesn't work?

Some websites block content extraction. If this happens, try copying the text directly and pasting it instead of using the URL.

Visuals & Output

What resolution are the downloads?

All visuals download in high resolution. Paid plans include 4K output for maximum quality. You can download in PNG, JPG, or WebP formats.

Can I edit after generating?

Yes. Every visual can be refined using natural language editing. Just describe what you want changed:

  • "Make the headline bigger"
  • "Change the background to navy blue"
  • "Add more white space"

The AI will update your visual based on your feedback.

Can I regenerate with a different style?

Yes. After generating, you can request a different style or regenerate entirely. Just ask for something different like "try a bolder style" or use the Try Other Formats button.

How many formats can I create at once?

The AI will suggest the best format for your content. You can also request multiple formats—just ask "create this for Instagram and LinkedIn" and the AI will generate both.

Brand & Styling

Yes. Set up a Brand Kit with your colors, fonts, and logo. Once saved, you can apply it to any visual—they'll automatically use your brand styling.

How do I apply my brand kit?

Just mention your brand in the chat: "Use my brand colors" or "Apply my brand kit." You can also select your brand kit in the confirmation panel before generating.

Can I have multiple brand kits?

Yes, if you manage multiple brands or clients. Create separate brand kits for each and switch between them when creating visuals.

Credits & Billing

How do credits work?

Each visual uses credits. Most single visuals use 10 credits. Multi-slide formats (carousels, presentations) use 15 credits per slide.

Editing an existing visual uses 10 credits.

What happens when I run out of credits?

You can purchase more credits or upgrade your plan. Your existing visuals remain accessible—you just can't create new ones until you have credits.

Do unused credits roll over?

Monthly subscription credits do not roll over — they reset when your subscription renews each billing cycle. Top-up credits (one-time purchases) never expire and stay in your account until used. Free plan credits are a one-time bonus and don't reset. See the credits guide for details.

Privacy & Security

Is my content stored?

Your uploaded content is processed to create visuals and is not shared with third parties. Generated visuals are stored in your account for easy access. See our privacy policy for full details.

Can I delete my visuals?

Yes. You can delete any visual from your dashboard. Deleted visuals are permanently removed.

Is my brand kit secure?

Yes. Your brand assets (logos, colors, fonts) are stored securely and only used to create your visuals.

Teams & Workspaces

Can I collaborate with my team?

Yes. Workspaces let you create a shared environment where your team can generate visuals from a shared credit pool, use the same brand kits, and see each other's work.

What roles are available?

There are four roles: Owner, Admin, Editor, and Reviewer. Each has different permissions—from full control to view-only access. See the full breakdown in Roles & Permissions.

How do workspace credits work?

Your team shares a credit pool that's separate from your account credits. Owners and admins fund the pool and set allowances for each member. Learn more in Workspace Credits & Allowances.

Can workspace members see my visuals?

No. Visuals in your own workspace stay private. Only visuals created while in a team workspace are visible to the team.

How do I organize team work?

Use Projects to group visuals by campaign, client, or initiative. You can filter by project and by team member on the Visuals page.
